Darling spoke about the new EP, saying, “When I listen to the Darling EP, I hear a grown-up version of me. I feel like someone who’s let go and allowed myself to share some messy emotions. It sounds like freedom and takes me back to those first records that influenced me as a kid. Darling’s first release and focal track off the EP, “Get To Me,” is co-written by Darling and the EP’s co-producers Cameron Jaymes and Emily Shackleton, available here. Darling spoke about the focal track saying, “‘ Get To Me’ paints those messy emotions. Letting go of someone can be the hardest thing you ever do, and it doesn’t happen in a straight line. You can say you’re over someone, travel the world, distract yourself, and that someone still finds a way to get inside your head.” By collaborating with writers and producers in Nashville, Los Angeles, and the UK, Darling has developed a distinct, contemporary country sound. She has been attracting ever-larger audiences to her pure vocals and unique brand of country music with performances at C2C Berlin, C2C London, Nashville Meets London, and the Cambridge Folk Festival. She has over 20 million streams on Spotify and Apple Music and has over 90 appearances on the Grand Ole Opry stage.
