Canadian Americana band, The Hello Darlins, have released their brand new single, Don’t You Fall, alongside the official music video, now available to watch on YouTube here.
The first single released from their forthcoming double album, Don’t You Fall, is an upbeat, radio-friendly, lighthearted track that showcases Candace Lacina’s unmistakable vocals. The song, (written by Lacina and Mike Little), delivers a message to persevere through hard times by enjoying the wonder of life, and the love and support of those closest to us.
“I wrote Don’t You Fall after a dream,” says Candace. “I was watching someone have a conversation with an old tree and they were both saying the same thing to each another – ‘Hold on, friend. You’ve seen so much, but don’t resign – because there is still so much more.’”

The accompanying music video is a playful approach to the same sentiment.
“As a society, we’re so obsessed with youth, and preserving our youth, but age is just a collective concept,” says Candace.
The simple clip – crafted, created and filmed by Lacina – is reminiscent of a 60’s/70’s children’s stop-motion TV show.
“Who didn’t love Romper Room, Mr. Dressup, Mr. Rogers, or Sesame Street…? Kindergarten is the age of innocence and imagination – you never think about getting old when you’re 5,” laughs Candace.
Don’t You Fall features the following musicians:
Drums – Chad Cromwell
Bass – Bob Glaub
Acoustic Guitar and Electric Guitar – Murray Pulver
Electric Guitar – Russell Broom
Hammond B3, Wurlitzer, Piano – Mike Little
Lead Vocal – Candace Lacina
Background Vocals – Candace Lacina
The new album project, The Alders & The Ashes, slated to arrive in late 2023 or early 2024, will be a double-length album consisting of 17 songs laid down at L.A.’s famed United Recording with multiple Grammy-winning engineer, Ross Hogarth (R.E.M., Hall & Oates, John Mellencamp, John Fogerty).
