Emily is an artist that has an endless talent, she has covered so many genres and could satisfy the most demanding of fans with an eclectic taste in music. Her most recent single Get It Right that will be released today (7th October).
Get It Right is a ballad telling a story from a vulnerable woman’s point of view. Someone who has searched for the right person and the song covers the meeting of that special someone. As the title states, it is time to “Get It Right”.
The song is filled with powerful descriptions of the person she falls for, the heart filled opening lines “I cannot tell the different between the moon and your eyes”. The lyrics drawing you in and hooking you with how the woman feels with the lines “Because they both draw me in and they mesmerize me”. We all know the power of the moon on a dark night and the sight of that planet will draw you closer, like the eyes of a lover.
The song dives into the universe helping them find each other by clearing a path so the lovers are able to meet. It has a romantic feel with an edgy sound. Not the usual country twang but with a steady beat but builds up once the chorus starts.
Emily is a female artist not afraid to do what she loves and records what feels from Rock n Roll to alt-country.
