NASHVILLE, TN.Caitlin Quisenberry brings back the ‘50s, with an updated modern pop sound.  In her lighthearted, feel good Christmas jingle, she asks, “Have you been naughty? Have you been nice? Santa’s making a list and he’s checking it twice”, as she takes us on the magical ride in anticipation for “Kringle’s Coming To Town”.  Caitlin teamed up with her producer, Jason Wyatt, who also co-wrote the song with her and Corey Lee Barker, who pitched this family classic for a Hallmark movie placement.  Their clever lyrics marry the bebop instrumentation and harmonies, taking us back in time to an era rich in soul and culture.

“I love the history of ‘50s music,” exclaims Caitlin! “It’s an era when artists and musicians really experimented with sounds outside typical musical genera’s and explored musical freedoms.  It was a time when American culture was segregated, but rock and roll was integrated– playing in bands together, recording each other’s songs, and being played on the same radio stations.  As an artist, I enjoy paying homage to other artists who have inspired me and my music and time periods that have influenced my style.  I enjoy taking older styles of music and modernizing them into updated current tunes. This song does exactly that with a contemporary pop beat.  When writing this song, we immediately knew we wanted to let the ‘50s rock it for the nostalgia and musical inclusion of that period.  I wanted to give my listeners a tune to dance and sing-a-long to, laced with an elated sense of longing for the past, when we were children preparing and anticipating Santa’s arrival on Christmas Eve.  I hope this song evokes the magic of Christmas, by keeping traditions alive and creating new ones.”

Last week, Caitlin dropped another original Christmas song, “I Used To Be Your Christmas”, recognizing as joyous as the holidays are for some, they are a source of great pain, stress and loneliness for others.

If you’re a fan of Christmas classics, Caitlin released a cover of “O Holy Night” last year.  It was featured on Today in Nashville’s Christmas Special and Spotify’s editorial playlist, Country Christmas.
