Launching October 23, the live-music series gives fans a chance to hear unsigned artists alongside the industry professionals searching for new talent.
There is something satisfying about discovering an artist before their songs become everyone else’s favorites. The Listening Room’s new Roster Ready series is built around that possibility and fans are invited.
The Nashville venue will launch the showcase on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 1 p.m., with Joe Noto, Jake Hughes, Joanna Serenko and Caleb Mitchell, plus special guests listed on the venue’s calendar. Tickets are advertised at $5 per show.
The series puts unsigned artists and songwriters in front of publishers, record labels, managers and other music professionals. But this is also a public show: you don’t need an industry credential to pull up a seat and discover someone new.

A Songwriter Showcase With Fans in the Room
For anyone curious about Nashville’s emerging music scene, Roster Ready offers a different kind of afternoon outing. Instead of choosing a concert because you already know every song, you can arrive ready to find a new favorite.
The Listening Room lists the opening event as a main-stage writers round, putting original songs and their creators at the center of the experience. The showcase is intended to help performers connect with their next opportunity while giving listeners a firsthand introduction to their music.
“We’re incredibly excited to launch this new series and shine a spotlight on some of the most talented unsigned artists and songwriters we’ve welcomed to our stage this year,” says Chris Blair, The Listening Room’s founder and owner.
“It’s an honor to provide these emerging voices with a platform to share their music.”
The opening lineup includes Joanna Serenko alongside Noto, Hughes and Mitchell, giving CWC readers another opportunity to discover a woman performing within Nashville’s songwriter community.
Twenty Years of Making Space for Original Music
Founded in 2006, The Listening Room has spent two decades bringing songwriters and audiences together. Located in Nashville’s historic International Harvester building at 618 Fourth Avenue South, the venue emphasizes original music and the connection between the people writing the songs and those listening.
According to the venue’s announcement, its stage has welcomed artists including Trisha Yearwood, Lainey Wilson, Amy Grant, Lauren Daigle and Dasha, alongside country names such as Vince Gill, Chris Stapleton and Garth Brooks.
Roster Ready extends that focus to artists still building their careers. For Nashville residents and visitors, the appeal is straightforward: an affordable chance to explore new music in a room dedicated to hearing it.
Can’t Make It to Nashville?
Fans outside Music City can explore the venue’s Stories Behind the Songs with Chris Blair podcast. The series features conversations about songwriting and music careers, with guests including Hannah Ellis, Trannie Anderson and Mae Estes.
It offers another way to get acquainted with the people behind the music, even when a Nashville visit isn’t on the calendar.
