Australian country pop artist, Kora Naughton, is back with the summery, Head in the Sand, available to pre-save now and out on February 12, through indie label, RTC Records.
Head in the Sand is an upbeat, good fun, pop country song to continue the summer vibes, from 2023 Toyota Star Maker Grand Finalist, Kora Naughton, produced by multi-award-winning, Matt Fell. It’s the sort of song that will make you want to head to the beach and pretend the house isn’t a mess.
“When I wrote Head in the Sand, it was smack bang in the middle of Covid lockdowns and I remember sitting at home, feeling the need to just run away from all of my problems and go sit in the sun somewhere and enjoy life,” says Kora. “I first debuted this song at the Toyota Star Maker Grand Final at TCMF 2023, so Head in the Sand has been lying in wait for over a year and I’m so thrilled that audiences are finally going to get to hear what I’ve been listening to on repeat for so long!”
On working with Matt Fell, Kora adds, “It’s always overwhelming to hear a song you wrote acoustically be turned into a full and wonderful production, but Matt Fell really took this song and ran with it, and I’m so proud to share the final result. After a long year away from releasing music, I’m really excited that Head in the Sand can be the restart my music needed.”
