How would you describe your sound to a first-time listener?
Our sound is rooted in country music, a relatable honest genre we all share a love for, but because we all came from different backgrounds of music as solo artists in rock/pop, rnb/jazz & country it’s a unique fusion of styles creating a sound we feel is unlike any other artist.”

How long have you been making music?
We’ve been making music together for over six years. Separately we all have been singing, songwriting and performing on stages since childhood.
What first inspired you to pursue music?
We came together to feel good. We were all working on our careers as solo artists and came together to write, jam and feel good. We enjoyed harmonizing together and creating music so much that we decided to form a trio. We felt healed from the experience and called the band The Heals which evolved into The Heels eventually.
What do you want your listeners to get out of your music?
We want our listeners to feel great from listening to our music. We layer healing frequencies and sound healing techniques into our songs for a deep healing experience mixed a mainstream music sound.
What are you currently working on?
We are currently in the studio cutting new singles and making demos of some new songs we wrote on our last trip to Nashville in November 2022. We are also busy creating visual content for our upcoming album release to compliment our new songs and further tell the story and message of each song. We are also putting together a podcast series. We are creators so we are always working on something new.
Give us some musical sheroes in your life…
We draw influence from so many talented females in the music world. Growing up a common artist we shared a love for and still enjoy is Shania Twain. Her songwriting, her live show and her ability to continue to reinvent herself and her music is so inspiring. Taylor Swift is another songwriter we admire. Taylor’s ability to tell a story with her song and share personal details with honesty and vulnerability displays strength we hope to offer to our audience in the same way.
Where do you find inspiration as a songwriter?
We find inspiration for new songs in everyday life from things we hear and say, common expressions, and personal experiences. There’s times we have written such personal details into songs, like our songs “Dump Him” or “High Heels On” for example that we almost get scared to share them because it feels like spilling all the secrets but we gain strength with each other and find empowerment through the process of opening up about our deep hurts and truths. Our entire upcoming album felt scary to share. We went a lot deeper with our songwriting on this album and we openly share emotions and our opinions on world issues and current events. We hope everyone will listen to our songs and feel like they know us personally.

“Work Of Heart” is a genre-bending soundscape of Country, Pop and Spiritually.
True to the traditional roots of The Heels with a new frontier of sound healing frequencies and dynamic layers of harmonies. The song is filled with gratitude for the contrasting emotional experiences and beauty that surrounds us all on a daily basis. “Work of Heart” is the title track of the bands upcoming album setting a sonic pathway to the evolution of The Heels.
We wrote “Work of Heart” with Megan Barker & Anthony Fiddler during a time when the world was locked down from the pandemic and full of fear. We had plans of international tour dates that got canceled due to the lockdown so we took the time to retreat to a cabin in the mountains and write and record a new album. This particular song reflects on personal struggles with anxiety, expectations of society and the journey to self love and acceptance.
